Welcome to the IC of Bolivia

Held on-site on the first Tuesday of the Australian Open, current and former players took the opportunity to catchup and celebrate the first Slam of the year at the IC cocktail party.

The event is supported by Tennis Australia and it was great to see AO Tournament director Craig Tiley pop in to say hello. Legends Pat Cash, Wendy Turnbull and John Alexander were amongst a buzzing room of members and guests, along with AO competitors Luke and Daria Saville and Omar Jasika. Luke, Omar and recently retired WTA player Zoe Hives are recipients of IC Australia Grants this year and came along to share their stories and meet fellow IC members. Visiting IC members Julie Richardson (New Zealand) and Gill Butterfield (Bermuda), were also welcomed at the event.

This was the first event of a full dance card for the IC of Australia at the Open.

Onto the middle weekend and the IC of New Zealand visited Australia for the Sedgman Tills Trophy at Royal South Yarra LTC, with the home side regaining the coveted trophy.

Finally, during the second week of the tournament, the IC of the USA sent along a team for a friendly and enjoyable IC match at Kooyong.

The Annual IC Australia Luncheon on the final Sunday of the tournament was a star-studded affair, with guests including Margaret Court, Ken Rosewall, Mark Woodforde, Pat Cash, Lesley and Bill Bowrey, and Debbie Jevans.
